Jane Jonasson
the person behind the work
In 2015 I temporarily lost my voice.
In the silence, I noticed something most people overlook.
How poorly we communicate with each other.
In many conversations people tend to do one of three things:
-
Fill in the gaps.
-
Plan their response.
-
Finish the other person's sentence.
Very little listening happens.
Communication is not about polished words.
It is about presence.
And delivery.
For that to happen, structure is needed.

The pattern
The work
We don't need louder voices.
We need clearer communication.
Over time one pattern became clear.
Important conversations often go in circles.
Not because people lack intelligence.
Not because they lack expertise.
Because structure behind the message is missing.
When the structure is missing.
Meetings drift.
Ideas dissolve.
Expertise never fully lands.
Everybody speaks.
Nothing moves forward.
I design the structure behind conversations and ideas.
Important ideas need structure to move between people.
This work shows up in three arenas.
